Feeding Made Easy
Bottle, breast & first bites — no stress.
Fed is best
However you feed your baby — breast, bottle, or a mix — what matters most is a fed, growing baby and a parent who isn't running on empty. Let go of the guilt and choose what works for your family.
Follow your baby's hunger cues
Rooting, sucking on hands and smacking lips mean "I'm hungry" — crying is a late sign. Feeding on cue in the early weeks helps babies settle into their own rhythm.
Set up a cozy feeding spot
A supportive chair, a pillow, water and snacks for you, and burp cloths within reach. You'll spend hours here, so make it a corner you actually enjoy.
Starting solids, gently
Around 6 months, most babies show signs they're ready: sitting with support, good head control, and interest in your food. Start with soft, simple single foods and let baby explore at their own pace.
Mess is part of the plan
First bites are more about learning than eating. Expect food on the floor, the walls and possibly the dog. A good bib, a splash mat and a sense of humor go a long way.
